This quote essentially summarizes the ideology of American foreign politics. This mentality within relatively recent years can correlate directly to the September 11th attack on the world Trade Center. While we are not declaring war against Libya, this quote displays our countries philosophy of "justice being served".

I believe that President Obama said this quotation as a predecessor for war. By saying that someone will not find an escape for justice suggests that justice will be achieved by any means necessary, which includes violence. I do not support violence and even though the President probably made this comment to please the people and gain public support, it still insinuates actions that are inappropriate and not ethically correct. I believe that the president may have been out of line with this statement and that he should not suggest acts of violence on a country just to appease his voters. Violence is not a means to achieving justice. Leave a Reply. |
