Seeing this post sparked my curiousity to find out more. Although a native of North Carolina I have become friends through college with many people from New York. One particular friend from Long Island went home this weekend to find her house still without hot water and electricity. In an article Bediner describes that insurance agencies often fail to describe exactly what they cover. Their job is simply to provide for only the bare minimum, fixing the necessities. In result, households with finished basements often suffer the most. Not only do we rarely expect these things to happen but when they do we expect compensation for damages. His and my friends situations are only two examples of whats happening to several people burdened by this storm. Leave a Reply. |
