I think that this is an appropriate response from Boeing regarding the 787 crisis, mostly because the company communicated that they were working to solve the issue and showed some sympathy for the people that were affected by the problems with these planes. Because the media is able to hype up new technological innovations so much before they are released, it is difficult for companies to figure out how to navigate problems if or when they arise. Other than the fact that the malfunctioning 787 plane was forced to do an emergency landing (which poses a risk to human life), this is really not much different than an issue that could surface when a new phone or a new car is released. Whenever products fail to work the way they are supposed to, companies have to find a way to communicate that they are working to fix the problem as quickly as possible, and it seems like Boeing did just that.
