I love that he is ready to start his job so soon after the election! It is time for that Carolina Comeback he campaigned about.

I think Pat is ready to do great things for North Carolina. He did a number of positive things while mayor in Charlotte and I believe he cares about the wellness of our state. 7/2/2013 01:58:51 pm
I believe too that he cares about the wellness of our state.

Although this applies to Pat McCrory taking on duties as governor, I believe it can be expanded. All of us have 'campaigns' in our lives, mirages that we display to win others over. However, we have to face reality at some point. Time will come when "it's time to govern" and we have to grab life by the horns. Simply said, talking a big game is only validated when supported by working a big game to fulfill and outperform expectations.

Although Governor McCrory may have great intentions, this quote reveals his fundamental misunderstanding of the campaign process. The ideas and values he chooses to portray during campaigns are not honest appeals, but rather ploys to earn votes. This creates a disjointed system which separates governmental action from campaign promises. Governors fight for reelection, but once they have retained office, it is easy to compromise their campaign position. At that point, its simply time to govern. Leave a Reply. |
