I do feel as though New York has chosen to be the model of progressiveness, regardless of the popularity of various progressive initiatives, i.e. The "Big Gulp Ban." The Progressive Caucus of New York has recently released its "13 Bold Progressive Ideas for NYC in 2013," (http://13boldideas.org/) which outlines 13 ways to improve the city for all inhabitants, regardless of race or socioeconomic background. As a former resident of New York, I'm happy to see that there are activists who are making legitimate efforts to transform the ways NYC operates from the top to the bottom. Leave a Reply. |
